The organising committee of INDOCLEFTCON 2009 is extremely happy and proud to invite you to the 8th Annual Conference of Indian Society of Cleft Lip, Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies being held at JIPMER, Pondicherry from 12th to 15th February 2009. We are honoured by the faith bestowed on us by the Society for organizing this national conference. We are aware of the responsibilities and the task ahead.

India is on the verge of becoming a financial giant. Similarly, India is achieving recognition in the field of management of cleft lip, palate and craniofacial anomalies. We have almost reached a stage when primary surgical management has evolved to its current highest standard. So, this is the time we should strive for better overall result with focus on “Refinements and Rehabilitation” of these children and hence the organizing committee has coined this as the theme of the conference.

JIPMER is the popular acronym for Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research. JIPMER is one of the best medical academic institutions in the country. It provides comprehensive free health care to the community besides maintaining highest standards in medical education and research. JIPMER is the centre of many zonal, national and international activities.

We would be extremely happy to welcome you to the city of Pondicherry, a cosmopolitan Indian town with a distinct French flavour with a unique combination of beauty and variety.
