2. Highlights of patient care:

Out-patient care:

Two special clinics are conducted every week

Neurology OPD        :           Monday 9.00 a.m.

                              :             Wednesday 9.00 a.m.

 

An average of 200  patients/clinic are seen respectively in these clinics.  Epilepsy, stroke, parkinsonism, migraine, vertigo, dementias, ataxias, neuromuscular diseases and spinal cord diseases are some of the common problems attended to.

 

In-patient care:

 

12 bedded Neurology inpatient ward with

Special services provided are digital video-EEG monitoring for presurgical evaluation of intractable epilepsy, botulinum toxin therapy for spasticity and dystonias, prethymectomy evaluation for myasthenia gravis, presurgical evaluation for transient ischemic attacks and strokes, polysomnography for evaluation of sleep disorders.

2. Digital video EEG monitoring for ictal electroencephalography,  Brain mapping and Polysomnography.

3. Transcranial Doppler and Cervical Cerebrovascular scanner

       7. ECG machine – 1

       8. 1.5 T MRI Scanner with MR angiography, Two CT scanners of which one is a 64 slice scanner, Digital

Substraction Angiography (Under department of Radiodiagnosis)
