a. Out-patient care:

 

General Neurology OPD                                   :  Monday and Wednesday 9.00 a.m.

Outpatient ENMG, EP, EEG, Colour duplex investigations

 

Approximately 150-200  patients/clinic are seen respectively in each OPD/clinic.  Epilepsy, stroke, parkinsonism, migraine, vertigo, dementias, ataxias, neuromuscular diseases and spinal cord diseases are some of the common problems attended to.

 

b. In-patient care:

 

6 bedded acute stroke care and Neurointensive care unit:

 

State of the art Neuromedical ICU with 6 ventilators, 2 portable battery operated ventilators and vital sign monitors and pulse oximeters

Laptop based ICU digital EEG, ENMG and TCD machines

Laptop based pulmonary function test apparatus

IV tPA and ultrasound thrombolysis system

Continuous plasmapheresis facility

24X7 hrs CT scan access

Internet and computer facility

 

16 bedded Neurology inpatient general ward: Special services provided are

 

Digital video-EEG monitoring for presurgical evaluation of intractable epilepsy

EMG guided Botulinum toxin therapy for spasticity and dystonias

Prethymectomy evaluation for myasthenia gravis

Presurgical evaluation for transient ischemic attacks and strokes

Polysomnography for evaluation of sleep disorders

Movement disorder video recording.
