• Emergency services round the clock – to cover the trauma care
• Regularly conducting special clinics for poliomyelitis and cerebral palsy(Tuesday afternoon), club foot(Wednesday afternoon), hemophilia clinic(First Friday afternoon of every month) and bone tumor clinic(First and Fourth Friday afternoon of every month)
• Surgical Work- 6 operation tables per week, Elective Emergency surgical care on  all days.

Therapeutic arthroscopy for knee and shoulder, Steffee plating, Total hip replacement, Ilizarov technique, Interlock nailing of femur and tibia, Anterior cruciate ligament repair,

Bone tumor resection and reconstruction, JESS correction of club foot

High frequency surgical unit, Endovision telecom system (arthroscopy), Electrically operated powered instrument, Mobile ‘C’ arm image intensifier, Electric dermatome,

Blanco Operation Table, Complete ACL instrument set, Arthroshaver system for arthroscopy, Ilizarov system, Total hip replacement equipment, Steffee instrumentation, Electrical power system heavy duty, Skin graft mesher with electric dermatome. 

5.  Major research activities:

      Study of infected non – unions of long bones, Study of clinical profile of massive intervertebral disc prolapse, Study of knee resection arthrodesis for tumor, Study of Charnley’s type of total hip replacement. 

6.  Other notable achievements/ contribution to health science:

§         Taking part in mobile camps at rural areas in collaboration with the Department of Preventive and Social medicine.

§         In addition to the normal duties, Head of the Department of Orthopaedics  also in-charge of Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation including the Orthotics and Prosthetics workshops.
