                        Applications are invited from Indian nationals in the prescribed proforma (enclosed as Annexure) for the posts of Assistant Professors in JIPMER, Dhanvantari Nagar, Pondicherry-6, in the under mentioned disciplines, proposed to be filled up on contract basis for a period of one year, extendable by another year. Age Limits:  Not exceeding 45 years as on closing date. (The closing date shall be reckoned from 30 days of the date of publication of the advertisement in Employment News.

Essential Qualifications:-

 

A. For the posts mentioned at Sl.No.1 to 21 above.

 

          i.  A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.  Holders of educational qualifications included in part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Sub-section (3) of the Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

          ii. Postgraduate qualification in the specialty concerned (M.D./M.S. & D.N.B.) in general specialties.

 

        iii.    At least three years teaching experience in the concerned specialty in a recognized teaching institution / Medical college as lecturer/Tutor /Demonstrator /Registrar/ Senior Resident after the requisite postgraduate degree qualification for the posts.

 

B. For the posts mentioned at Sl.No.22 to 27 above.

 

          i.    An MBBS qualification recognized by Medical Council of India included in the First or Second Schedule or Part  II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.  Holders of Educational Qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Sub-Sections (3) of Section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act. 1956.

 

         ii.   Post-doctoral degree (M.Ch./D.M.) in the concerned super-specialty mentioned in Section A of Schedule-VI or equivalent.

 

iii.                Three years teaching experience as Senior Resident/Tutor/Demonstrator/Registrar in the concerned super-specialty in a recognized teaching institution/medical college after obtaining the first postgraduate degree.

 

Contractual amount:-  The contractual amount would be Rs.35,000/- (Rupees Thirty five  thousand) per month,

 

OTHER CONDITIONS:-

 

(i)                 The contractual appointment can be terminated by either side by giving a notice of one (01) Month.

 

(ii)               During the contractual appointment period private practice of any kind whatsoever shall not be allowed including any consultation and laboratory practice.

 

(iii)             The appointment is subject to the physical fitness from the competent medical board for which he/she will be sent to the designated Medical Authority by the Director, JIPMER, Pondicherry after his/her joining and in case he/she is found medically unfit, he/she will be discharged from the said appointment forthwith.

 

(iv)             The appointee shall not be entitled to any benefit like provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance Treatment, Seniority, Promotion etc. or any other benefits available to the Govt. servants appointed on regular basis.

 

The attested copies of certificates of age, educational qualifications, experience, integrity/character, community certificate and no objection certificate, if employed from the present employer should be enclosed alongwith application.  The original certificates should be produced at the time of the interview.
